You are our priority and you are our customer not the candidates. Yes. But don't worry, we have you covered. Sprinkle is programmed to help you remain in compliance however you decide to contribute. You can contribute up to ~$2,900 per election per candidate and contribute up to this amount on an unlimited number of candidates! For the 2021-2022 cycle, the key limits for an individual contributor are:
$2,900 per election (with the primary and general being separate elections) for contributions to candidates;
$5,000 per calendar year for contributions to PACs
$10,000 per calendar year for contributions to state/district/local party committees (contributions to a state party committee are generally combined with contributions to a local party committee within the state)
$36,500 per calendar year to basic national party committee accounts (e.g., DNC, DSCC, DCCC and Republican equivalents)
$109,500 per calendar year per account to special accounts of national party committees (e.g., the legal and recount account, the national party HQ building account)

Our research team uses a wide range of sources to build our profiles, including: official biographies; legislative and public records; district and demographic data; press releases, interviews, speeches, and other media interactions; interest group ratings; and archived press reporting. If you have questions about the sources on a particular profile, please reach out to support@sprinkleusa.com for more information.
Sprinkle has an obligation to disclose the identities of all contributors who give more than $200, which includes name, mailing address, occupation, employer, and date of receipt and amount of contribution. 11 CFR 104.8(a). For contributions under $200, committees do not need to itemize the contribution on their report, but they need to keep records on all of those contributions (name, mailing address, date of receipt, and amount). 11 CFR 102.9(a). Doing so ensures that the reporting committee knows if it has a donor of $200 or more that needs to be itemized on the report.
Each Sprinkle user must be able to agree to each of the following: I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.I am at least eighteen years old.I am not a federal contractor.I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
Certain donor information must be collected for each contribution and transmitted to the recipient committee in order to enable them to file reports with the Federal Election Commission, namely: Full name, Mailing address, Employer, Occupation, Donation date, Donation amount.
The easiest way to change or cancel your contribution is by clicking the “Edit payment details” link we include in each email receipt. After clicking the link, you’ll be able to edit the contribution or cancel it altogether.
No. Sprinkle does not make contributions to any political entity unless directed to do so by a Sprinkle user. We do not pick political sides. Sprinkle can exclude candidates from the platform for reasons such as but not limited to candidates being anti-democratic (example: asking for a presidential pardon in advance of January 6th 'Big Lie' activities; indicating guilt for an overt action against free and fair elections).
When you make a contribution, the candidate committee that received your contribution is not required to accept it and may refund it even if it was accepted. In that rare event, if the campaign committee has not transferred your contribution from its account with Sprinkle to its bank account, Sprinkle’s third-party payment processing service will cancel or reverse your contribution and will return your contribution, without reduction for Sprinkle's fee, to your account with Sprinkle. If the campaign committee has transferred your contribution to its bank account before it determined that it is unable to accept your contribution or elected to refund your contribution, the campaign committee will be responsible for returning your contribution to you.
No. Sprinkle cannot make contributions OR provide free or discounted services or provide something of benefit to candidates and party committees, since doing so would result in a contribution. Only contributions as directed by Sprinkle users are distributed to candidates.
